The basics for memorizing music are built into your brain And then it's time to put the score away and just play.Įspecially if you've tried this more than a few times, got some way through a piece, and then found yourself grinding to a halt, your mind a blank. You work out exactly how you'd like to play it. ![]() You get very very familiar with every note, every nuance. You study the score, you work on different sections. You have to hear it many times, you have to play (or sing) it many times. ![]() ![]() Getting to know a piece of music really well takes time, of course.
